My bathroom is arguably my least favorite place to clean in my home. And yes, I do have three of them, so when bathroom cleaning day comes around, I like to get this job done as fast as possible.
Now, there are some jobs you simply can't rush, like scrubbing your shower screen clean, and there are others that you forget about and tell yourself that you'll do next time — but never actually do. And for me, this job is cleaning under my bathroom trash can. I'm good at emptying the thing, but moving it and cleaning underneath it? It just always slips my mind. Oops.
This was until I replaced my bathroom trash can with this wall-mountable one, which not only has made my life easier come bathroom cleaning day, but it also saves floor space. I spotted the KINNASJÖ Trash can at IKEA, and truly: I've never added anything to my basket so fast.
For $4.99, this boring but necessary buy will literally transform your bathroom. Better yet? Renters can even jump on the hype, too, as installation is as easy as peeling a sticker and placing it where you'd like it.
An affordable solution to bathroom mess

This 1-gallon wall-mountable bin is truly one-of-a-kind. I'm actually tempted to buy one for each of my bathrooms, mostly to save floor space, but also because in my downstairs bathroom, this will mean that my robot vacuum can reach every inch of the floor. Gone are the days of lifting your bathroom bin to clean it!
One of the best parts about this bin has got to be the fact that it's easy to fit — I don't pride myself on knowing my way around a toolkit, so the self-adhesive feature is great as it means I can fit it myself.

What else makes it great? Placing a bathroom bin at any height means you can make sure that it's easy to reach for those who are less able to bend down — fit yours a little higher up so that your grandparents, or anyone else who might find it handy, can reach inside.
Now, I wouldn't go filling it with any heavy items, as do note that its max weight capacity is 4.4 lbs. When it comes to sticking, you need to fit the hook to your wall and let it set for 24 hours before adding the trash can to the mix. So yes, this means that the trash can can be easily removed from the wall, so that you can clean it or take it to your main trash can for emptying.
If you have a windowless bathroom that often gets quite hot, be prepared for the sticky adhesive to only work for a short amount of time. Steam will, over time, loosen the adhesive and make it unsticky, FYI.
Other ways to use it

I'm already thinking of other ways to use this easy-to-fit trash can. Since it can stick onto mirrors and glass, it would be a genius idea to use it on the other side of a shower screen (the non-wet side) to hold hand towels or face towels so that they're easy to reach.
Otherwise, hanging it inside a pantry would be smart. It could be used for holding things like extra trash can bags, clean dishcloths, or dish towels.
If you've got a storage cupboard that's currently resembling Monica from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. one, then you could use these trash cans as storage bins to free up floor space and use wall space. They'd be great for holding crafting accessories or even lightweight kids' toys in a playroom. Truly, the options are endless!
