Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield put their recent ‘queue jump’ scandal behind them as This Morning won at the National Television Awards once again, with Phillip saying the award meant so much to them 'particularly this year.' And, while it was reported there were concerns the hosts would be booed, loud cheers rang out as they took to the stage.
A month has now passed since the two hosts found themselves in the middle of a social media storm after being spotted at Westminster Hall, where the Queen’s body was lying in state at the time. While stars like David Beckham and Susanna Reid queued for hours to pay their respects to Her Majesty, Holly and Phillip were given ‘fast track’ access to the building, as members of the media, to report on the events.
This Morning denied any wrong doing on their behalf, while in a pre-recorded statement which went out on the show, Holly said she and Phillip didn’t get to file past the coffin and “would never jump a queue.”

The National Television Awards were meant to happy a week after the Queen died, meaning the lion’s share of votes were cast before the queue jump row had even happened. And viewers ensured that This Morning won for Best Daytime yet again at the annual event.
Picking up the award, Phillip said: "Please don't think we take this for granted. This year means so much to us every year, especially this year. We have the most amazing team, I have the best friend, we have the best boss."
Taking over, Holly said: "This award means so much because it's voted for by you," as she gestured to the audience, adding: "And I think This Morning has a very special relationship with you."
