This Morning viewers stunned as caller says husband keeps 'disappearing to Thailand'

This Morning viewers were stunned after a caller revealed her husband keeps 'disappearing to Thailand'.

The 70-year-old admitted she had no idea what was going on, but was alarmed when she found out her partner of 48 years was sending money to the country.

Speaking to agony aunt Deidre Saunders, 'Julie' said her husband never tells her when he's going to the far-flung idyll and warned her his cash was 'none of her business'.

"It's normally on a Wednesday night he goes," she revealed. "I just come home, there's no note, nothing, passport, gone, clothes gone."

Getting emotional, Julie added: "I'm 70 now...I just don't know what to do...I'm thinking, how long have I got?"

Deidre was shocked by the news, telling the caller she shouldn't be putting up with her husband's antics.

"Of course what your husband is doing is your concern and funnelling out hundreds of pounds of family income - that is terrible," she said.

However, while Julie clarified the money didn't come out of a joint account, Phillip Schofield was horrified.

"He's got someone else," he said. "He's going to Thailand to see someone else - male or female."

"Or several people," Deidre added.

Fans on Twitter were in agreement and urged the caller to 'change the locks' or 'see a solicitor'.

"I think we know why he's going to Thailand Julie," wrote one.

Another advised: "'It might be difficult at 70 but my God Julie, locks changed next time he's away. He's an absolute d**k."

While another simply said: "Oh Julie ffs."

Agony aunt Deidre suffered her own heartbreak late last year when she revealed her husband had sadly died.

Rick passed away just before Christmas and had been married to the TV star for 55 years.

Deidre announced his death on the show to her colleagues, as she opened up about the news she had been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List for 2023.

Explaining she had received the call about the accolade prior to her husband's death, she said Rick knew all about her recognition and even made a jibe about it - which she said tickled her.

Deidre told hosts Andi Peters and Josie Gibson: "A special thing for me was, a lot of you know my husband died just before Christmas on December 16th.

"I was with Rick for 55 years, so that was really great. He was always a great tease so he had to get in a few digs first. But he did the next day tell my daughter and tell me just how proud he was, so that made it extra, extra special."
