This Morning viewers demand 'make it stop' minutes into show over 'erotic' opener

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield opened Thursday's This Morning with a tribute to Star Wars Day but ITV viewers weren't entirely impressed with the opening segment.

Introducing This Morning's tribute to Star Wars Day, celebrated on May, 4 in a clever homage to May the Fourth Be With You, Holly said: "And to celebrate we're joined by the best dancing stormtroopers in the galaxy."

"They've taken a break from patrolling the empire to join us in the studio," Phillip added.

Boogie Storm entered the studio and began dancing to a selection of pop hits.

However, This Morning viewers were left baffled by the performance as one frustrated fan tweeted: "Please make it stop! #ThisMorning."

Another wrote: "Dancing stormtroopers? think I've seen it all now #thismorning," while a third added: "Why am I finding the dancing storm troopers really erotic? #ThisMorning."

"I haven't slept for 48 hours, so can someone tell me if I'm hallucinating watching storm troopers dancing Diversity style? #ThisMorning," another question.

Someone else quipped: "The wobbly cod-pieces are very distracting #ThisMorning," and a sixth shared: "I can't stop watching the flapping codpieces of the stormtroopers. This is just a No."

After the stormtroopers energetic performance, Holly remarked that she wished they could begin every This Morning in the same way.

Earlier in the week, Holly and Phil were left in hysterics when Richard E. Grant was involved in an x-rated blunder when he appeared in the This Morning studio.

The 65-year-old actor was chatting to TV chef Clodagh McKenna when she suffered an awkward mistake.

Clodagh revealed she was making King Charles' reportedly favourite dish of cheesy eggs and wanted to check in on her friend to get his opinion.

She said: 'I messaged Richard on the way in today and I was like, "I'm making cheesy eggs, I know you don't like cheese but will you have it? 'He was like, "No way, it tastes like bum!"'

"It doesn't taste like bum, it smells like bum!" Richard interjected as Holly and Phil burst out laughing.

The actor jumped in: "This is a family show!"
