Phillip Schofield's return to This Morning has been hotly anticipated - and it looks like the ITV show is equally glad to see him back.
The presenter and his co-host Holly Willoughby are both expected to make a return to the programme next week after their Easter break. Phillip has been off for three weeks, and Holly for two. The first week Holly was joined by Alison Hammond and The Masked Singer star Joel Dommett to host the ITV mid-morning show.
Last week, regular Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary took charge of the show all week whilst Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle are standing in for the rest of this week.
However, Holly and Phil are expected to be back next week for the ITV show - and in a promotional clip on today's show, their return was teased by bosses as they revealed what fans can expect for the coming week.
Confirming their much loved 12 by 12 competition was back, a voice over from Phil and Holly could be heard revealing the competition for next week, as they showed clips from the previous time they hosted the same segment.
Josie - who is standing in for then pair this week alongside Craig - previously praised her co-stars for teaching her all she knows.
Speaking previously about what she's learned from her friends on This Morning, she said: "Absolutely. I learn from all the hosts all the time… I’ve never been properly trained or anything, I’ve been learning on the job really! I enjoy doing the little bits out and about on the road, but hosting the main show, to fill those boots, is something else.
"Alison gives me great advice all the time, I never forget one thing she told me, she said, ‘you are basically there to help people shine and to tell their story’ and that’s just always stuck with me. And Holly is just brilliant too."
She added: I’ve gone for jobs and have asked producers ‘how did you know to phone me?’ and a few times I’ve been told ‘Holly’s been telling us how much she loves you’... how nice is that? We all cheer each other on so much."
ITV have confirmed Phil will be back on the show very soon alongside Holly.
"Phil is due to return after the Easter holidays. We don’t comment on speculation around artists’ contracts," a spokesperson said.
