This Morning's scam expert sends Taylor Swift warning as Eras tour tickets go on sale at Anfield

This Morning's scam expert issued a warning as tickets went on sale for Taylor Swift's Eras tour.

The popular singer confirmed last month she would be bringing her critically acclaimed tour to Liverpool, London, Edinburgh and Cardiff in 2024. Yesterday saw the first batch of presale tickets go on sale for Edinburgh and London.

But those wishing to go to Liverpool were able to get their hands on tickets from today. The frenzy to bag a ticket to the event at Anfield was covered on today's This Morning, which set up a Swiftie Central station in the studio.

Superfans tried to get their hands on tickets live on air and updated hosts, Dermot O'Leary, and Alison Hammond, with their position in the queue. Dermot winced as one fan struggled to get a position on the queue as he said: "I was a little bit concerned they weren't going to get on the waiting list."

The hosts were joined by scam expert, Jenny Radcliffe, who hails from Liverpool. She urged viewers to be careful after the presale as fraudsters will look to take advantage of such an in-demand event.

She said: "It's the resale market where there's the most security risk. Everyone is dying to get a ticket and if they don't manage to get one [in the first sale] then they're primed for any story and we're not going to think too carefully about getting scammed because we're after that bargain and we're dying to go."

She shared her top tips to avoid getting scammed when buying Taylor Swift tickets. Jenny said: "Always use the legitimate sites. Don't listen to social media sob stories about this

"Pay using PayPal or similar. Nothing peer to peer. Don't send any financial details to anyone.

"If they tell you they've overpaid so they need your bank details to pay you back, that's nearly always a scam so don't do it."
