Ruth Langsford sparked an instant reaction online with her parting statement as This Morning as she ended her return to the ITV show alongside Rylan Clark came to an end on Friday, as many fans called for them to be made full time presenters.
There was a lot of excitement at the end of last week when, after a lot of speculation, previous stand-in presenters Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters confirmed that Ruth and Rylan would be back, as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continue their extended break. Many viewers declared the news that Ruth and Rylan would be hosting This Morning had them 'wanting to watch the show again.'
And the duo have given fans plenty to laugh about over the past few days, with Rylan being spooked by a snake just minutes into their first episode together, while Ruth briefly walked off set on Thursday after getting the giggles over something Rylan did during the ad break.

However, while Phillip and Holly still won't be back next week, neither will Rylan and Ruth, as Ruth announced at the end of Friday's show that Rochelle will be back, this time alongside Vernon Kay. Their partnership had been teased already in adverts but as Ruth made the news official, the reaction on Twitter was very much that viewers wanted Ruth and Rylan to stay.
One tweeted: "Ruth and Rylan have a such a genuine rapport, added to the fact that they are both very charismatic together @ThisMorning - you are missing an opportunity if you don't pursue this pairing, this week has been the best week on #ThisMorning." In agreement, a second posted: "How refreshing are Rylan and Ruth on #ThisMorning Why can't they replace Holly and Phil?"
A third echoed those sentiments by responding: "can we all take a moment to appreciate the chemistry rylan and ruth have had over the past week. can we have them forever."
