This Morning host Josie Gibson last week described Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell as being like a "fine red wine" - so he popped up on the show to surprise her on Monday, March 21. The presenter has been standing in for Holly Willoughby after she tested positive for coronavirus.
Talking about her crush on the show last week, she likened him to the wine because he "gets better with age" and producers made a special shrine to Michael's character Kevin Webster complete with framed picture.
On Monday, co-host Phillip Schofield announced that they had a surprise in store that she knew "nothing about".

"He has actually been in touch," he said. Josie got very flustered and said: "He isn't here is he?" Phillip assured her he wasn't saying: "He isn't, but he wanted to say this...."
A video was then played from Michael, who said: "Hello Josie. It is Michael Le Vell. I saw your little fine wine comment on This Morning the other day. Someone sent it to me, and you know what, every now and again in the pub I play it to the lads to wind them up, so thank you so much for that. Hopefully, one day, we will meet up in person in the studio. Thanks again and have a wonderful day."
Back in the studio. a shocked Josie said: "He is so handsome. He is so lovely. Thanks for that. I didn't know anything about that. He is definitely a fine, red wine."
Holly Willoughby is missing from the ITV studios for the second week running after testing positive for coronavirus. Phillip added that she was feeling "fine" but continued to have positive covid tests.
The 41-year-old presenter pulled out of hosting Dancing On Ice on March 13 due to testing positive for Covid-19 and since then has missed a whole week presenting on the ITV daytime show This Morning. Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond stood in for Holly on the show last week.
