In an move that came as a shock to many viewers, Josie Gibson and Andi Peters hosted This Morning on Tuesday, as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continued their extended absence from the show.
It was way back near the start of December that the ITV daytime programme's main hosts signed off for their festive break, with the likes of Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Craig Doyle, joining Josie and Andi as replacement presenters in their absence. The various combinations of hosting duos sparked plenty of opinions from viewers, with Josie and former Holiday star Craig coming in for particular praise.
Holly and Phillip were on screen on Christmas Day, as This Morning aired a special festive episode and then again for all of last week in the run up to New Year, all of those programmes were actually recorded in advance, with Holly's lack of Instagram posts from behind the scenes the big giveaway that she and Phillip weren't actually in the studio in real time.
