Holly Willoughby has been sent plenty of compliments after sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from her trip to Buckingham Palace. The presenter and her co-host Phillip Schofield swapped the studio for the royal residence during Tuesday's This Morning (May 24).
The hosting duo headed to the Queen's London home to give viewers an exclusive insight into royal life ahead of the monarch's Platinum Jubilee. Phillip and Holly arrived in a white cab, making their way through the palace's iconic gates before making their way across the graveled drive to the entrance.
Eventually, the pair emerged from the vehicle and made their way up the steps, which had been decked out with a red carpet, and into the royal residence. Holly, 41, looked stunning a floral, pale yellow dress while her co-host Phillip, 60, looked dapper in a navy blue suit and tie.

Viewers were quick to complain about the show, however, as the whole episode wasn't hosted from the palace with Alison Hammond holding the fort in the studio before Holly and Phil dashed across London in time for the last part of the programme. But there was an appearance from Gyles Brandreth who reflected on his memories of the Royal Family while chef Phil Vickery took viewers inside the Royal Kitchens and met the Royal Household’s Head Chef, Chris Tombling and horticulturist David Domoney showed us around the Palace's magnificent garden.
Even Eurovision star - and national hero - Sam Ryder got in on the action as he was interviewed in the royal surroundings about his success at the annual singing contents as well as being invited to perform at the Platinum Party at the Palace which takes place during the celebratory weekend next week.
Taking to Instagram after the show, Holly shared her brief thoughts on the momentous occasion while also sharing a closer look at her outfit as she posed outside the palace. "Well that was just one of those special moments on @thismorning," the 41-year-old wrote to her millions of followers.
She added: "Such a privilege to take our show to Buckingham Palace today to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee… Thank you @theroyalfamily for having us… #hwstyle dress @thevampireswife rental from @hurr." And the comments soon came flooding in.

But Holly did get into a bit of a panic while inside the palace. The presenters were having to be particularly cautious as they broadcast live from the incredible property. As they were joined by Phil Vickery, Holly and Phil were presented with a plate full of scones that had been topped with jam made with fruit from the grounds of the Queen’s various homes.
When he asked Holly if she wanted to try one, she replied: "Delicious, yes. I’ll take one and nibble it in the break," while taking the tray off Phil. But her co-host Phillip was instantly panicked, as he weighed in: "Just don’t drop it on the carpet!"
The pressure then got to Holly as she said: "Let's just go to the break," as the others laughed. They went on to to tease what was still to come before adding, "It's fine, I'll just hold them. I don't want to move. I'm just frozen on the spot."
