This Morning's Dr Ranj has 'wobble' as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's 'feud' makes him question future on TV

Dr Ranj Singh has revealed that the supposed feud between Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield has made him reconsider his future on TV. The medical expert, who used to often appear on daytime ITV show This Morning as a guest, gave his thoughts on the rumoured rift between the two presenters, who have worked alongside each other since 2009.

Former CBeebies star Dr Ranj appeared on Johnny Seifert's Secure the Insecure podcast recently that he had been contemplating whether he "fits in" in the world of TV. "I've had a bit of a wobble this week, where we're kind of thinking, hang on, do I fit in here?" the doctor said.

"Does this align with my values? It feels like this isn't the kind of environment that I want to be a part of.

"And there's been a lot of negativity around various parts that we're all part of this process. Is this really a place for people like us where we're thinking, hang on, this is not okay, you know, what's going on and what we're hearing doesn't align with our values.

"And we've all had a bit of an identity crisis... I certainly feel it this week. I certainly feel like oh, gosh, I don't know how I feel about this. These are people that I've worked with, these are people that I know, I don't know how I now fit in."

Holly and Phil's friendship is believed to have "cooled" after Phil took some pre-planned leave away from the show last month as his brother, Timothy Schofield, was convicted of sexually abusing a teenage boy whilst working for Avon and Somerset Police. In an unexpected move, Phil released a statement addressing the rumours of his rift with Holly last week.

The long-time This Morning star, who joined the show back in 2002, asserted that Holly is his "rock" and that the pair, who were, at one point, loved by fans for their giggling fits and close friendship, remained the "best of friends". Fans were left feeling awkward on Monday morning when This Morning returned following a weekend of heavy headlines about Holly and Phil as the pair failed to address the "elephant in the room".

Earlier this week, it was reported by The Mirror that Phil is a "shell of himself" amid mounting speculation regarding his This Morning future. His contract is set to expire this summer, with a source claiming to The Sun that it is "highly unlikely" he will be returning to the sofa in September.

Although Holly's job is thought to be safe, the presenter, who works with Phil on Dancing on Ice in the winter months, is believed to be feeling "trapped" as a result of the daytime TV crisis. "This Morning is preparing for some seismic changes this summer," the insider claimed.

"Phil is lined up as the first major name for the chop when his contract expires this summer. It's highly unlikely he'll be back in September."
