This Morning's Alison Hammond made a savage dig at Phillip Schofield this morning as he rang into the ITV show from isolation.
Phillip has been forced to stay at home after testing positive for coronavirus, and he has admitted his appearance on Dancing On Ice this weekend is at risk as he is "cutting it fine" for him to be out of isolation in time for the Sunday show.
Alison stepped in to present the ITV mid-morning show alongside Rochelle Humes and as they introduced the programme and chatted with Phil, she made a savage dig at her fellow presenter.
Welcoming viewers to the show, Rochelle said: "Hello and welcome to Tuesday's This Morning and hello you!"
As Alison replied: "I didn't expect this! What's happening? What's going on?"
Rochelle then admitted it was "a little bit unfortunate" as Phillip was unable to make the show after testing positive for Covid, as Alison added: "Poor Phil can't be in the studio today - but don't worry he might be at home but he can be with us right now."
Phil then appeared on the screen, showing off his positive Covid test.
"We believe you," Alison joked whilst Rochelle said: "I thought he just didn't like me."
However, later, Alison made even more of a savage dig as she told him there was a "silver lining" to him being ill, as it meant she could be on the programme away from her usual Friday slot.
Phil is currently isolating at home with a slight fever but he insists he is otherwise well and no longer has a sore throat and has "only sneezed twice" since he found out he had tested positive.
Alison has guest presented the show's special segments for several years and even fronted the main show from time to time, but she made the swap to presenting the programme on Friday with Dermot O'Leary just over a year ago.
The pair recently celebrated their one year anniversary of being co-presenters.
"Allow me this brief moment... did you know that today is our one year anniversary?" Dermot said live on air a few weeks back as he grabbed a cake and candles from off camera.
"Yes! It's been a year since you and I have served our probation. We have a little anniversary celebration," he added at the time.
