The This Morning team have slammed Jeremy Clarkson after he revealed he fantasises about people 'throwing excrement' at Meghan Markle after watching the Sussex's Netflix series.
The former Top Gear presenter, 62, has sent shockwaves after writing in a column that he wants the Duchess of Sussex to be 'paraded naked through the streets' and 'dreams of people throwing lumps of excrement at her'.
Jeremy has been widely slammed for his cruel remarks, which came off the back of the final three episodes of Harry and Meghan airing on Netflix.
Discussing his shocking words on Monday morning's instalment of This Morning, hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle debated the 'worrying' content in Jeremy's 'vile' column on mother-of-two Meghan and questioned how it was allowed to be published.
Celebrity Gogglebox star Gyles Brandreth, and Isla Traquair found themselves in an intense conversation about Jeremy's shocking column before Isla almost let slip a swear word while live on air amid her frustrations.
The This Morning guest became so emotional that tears started to fill her eyes as she spoke about how society has 'accepted' men promoting violence against women as she condemned Jeremy's 'disgusting' words about Meghan.
"It's so bad to even say that a woman should be naked, paraded in Britain and have sh... pardon me. Sorry, I mean excrement is the daytime television version of the word I'm looking for," Isla shared.
"Sorry, I'm very upset about this," she continued.
To which Craig replied: "No, look, I completely understand. You're right to get annoyed and I think something does have to happen off the back of this."
To illustrate how much he dislikes Meghan, Jeremy compared his disdain for her to his feelings towards SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon and serial killer Rose West - adding that she tops the list.
"Meghan, though, is a different story. I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a cellular level," the former Top Gear host penned.
In the article for the paper published on Friday, Clarkson also wrote that he loathed Meghan 'on a cellular level'.
He said he was "dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her”.
“Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way," he added.
Clarkson's comments have been widely slammed, both from other celebs and even his own daughter who are astounded by his inflammatory views.
"I’m your age @JeremyClarkson and I couldn’t disagree more with you. Why do you have to be so horrible? I can’t believe it’s good for you and it certainly isn’t good for the rest of us," Jacqui Smith MP hit back.
Former Countdown star Carol Vorderman also slammed Clarkson as she took to Twitter to write: "NO Jeremy Clarkson. Not on any level, in any circumstance, is it ok to write this stuff about any woman and absolutely NO to 'everyone who's my age thinks the same' No no no. We absolutely do NOT think the same. Listen to the noise Jeremy. The crowds are chanting 'shame on YOU'."
Jeremy's daughter, Emily, has also condemned her father's 'misogyny'.
Emily has criticised her father's views and expressed support for those 'targeted by online hatred'.
In a statement posted on Instagram, she said: "My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media.
"I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I remain standing in support of those targeted with online hatred."
The Mirror has reached out to Jeremy Clarkson's representatives for comment.
