This Morning fans were stunned to learn of Tony Christie's real age.
Tony Christie is well known for his recording of "(Is This The Way To) Amarillo" and over the years has inspired many across the UK, including here in Merseyside. His other hits include "I Did What I Did For Maria" and "Avenues and Alleyways".
Having previously spoken out about his own health battles, he told the Daily Star he has no plans to give up just yet. He spoke about his journey with dementia, his struggles and positive outlook.

But having appeared on ITV's This Morning to celebrate his birthday, fans were stunned to learn his real age. Having recently turned 80, Mr Christie told presenters Holly and Phil: "I'm glad that I'm here."
Speaking about his career, he said: "I love it, it's my life. I've got a gig tonight."
Many people took to social media to share their opinions. One person wrote on Twitter: "Tell you what Tony Christie looks f****g good for 80 yo", as another said: "How amazing does Tony Christie look, happy birthday."
A third added: "80 years old looks good." One fan wrote: "I’ll admit it now, I have a soft spot for Tony Christie!"
