The hashtag #ThisMorning was trending on Twitter as viewers tuned in to see for themselves how the presenters and ITV are handling the ongoing situation.
Many fans said that they could 'feel tension' whilst watching today's instalment of the show. They flocked to social media to talk about it - saying their apparent united front seemed 'fake'.

Holly and Phil sat down with Gyles Brandreth and Camilla Tominey to read through today's latest headlines, but failed to mention the headlines about their 'feud' and many fans picked up on it.

Things are said to be extremely rocky between the pair, and according to reports the close pals' friendship has "cooled" off recently, with Holly keeping her distance from Phil when the cameras aren't rolling.
ITV are said to be in crisis talks, and a source told The Sun: "Holly adores This Morning and for the first time in 14 years she has made it clear that should Phil ever leave she would want to stay. They are separate entities.
"To those around them on set, it has become clear recently that Holly and Phil are not as close as they once were.
"Professionally you would have no idea there was anything going on because on camera they are acting exactly the same. But behind the scenes, their relationship has cooled."
