This Morning fans in hysterics as adorable child guest asks if he's on the BBC

This Morning viewers were in hysterics when a sweet young guest with cerebral palsy questioned whether he was appearing on the BBC.

On Thursday morning, twins Lucy and Matthew appeared on the ITV show with their older sister to discuss the triathlon they're taking part in.

The twins were diagnosed with cerebral palsy at only 14 months old but have defied the odds.

Matthew was full of energy as he had a blast on the This Morning set while Holly Willoughby, 44, and Craig Doyle, 52, talked to the older sister about their triathlon plans.

Towards the end of their chat, Craig held Matthew's hand and walked him behind the sofa where presents for the twins were hidden.

They both received a giant hamper filled with toys and books.

While Craig moved the hampers onto the sofa, Matthew could be heard saying: "This is the BBC..."

Holly laughed and asked: "This is BBC News? This is very much ITV," while an amused Craig simply said: "No..."

They swiftly moved on to shower the adorable children with gifts. However, fans at home were in hysterics as they tweeted about Matthew's cheeky comment.

"Hahahhahaha 'Is this BBC News?'," one user said while another posted along with laughing emojis: "This is BBC news."

One joked: "Wonder if they've been on the BBC."

Meanwhile, many viewers were distracted by Irish presenter Craig's ease with children with one user tweeting: "Craig interacting with the little lad [hearteyes emojis] be still my dying ovaries."

"Craig being so great with those kids is so f***ing hot!!" another said.

Viewers have been loving watching Craig host alongside Holly in recent weeks.

This Morning fans previously shared their preference for the star as ITV rotate a string of presenters on each show.

Following the explosive collapse of Phillip Schofield’s career, Holly has been helming the show with a changing line-up of co-hosts – including Dermot O’Leary and Josie Gibson.

However, it is charming Irish presenter Craig Doyle who has attracted the strongest support.

A raft of ITV daytime viewers have taken to social media to demand that bosses hire Craig full-time to co-host alongside Holly.

One wrote online: "Craig Doyle needs to be made a permanent host of this morning. He fits in so well."

And another commented: "Craig is in one of his naughty moods. Love it. Make him permanent please."

Some viewers like him so much that they threatened to stop watching the show if he wasn't made a permanent host.

One fan warned: "tbh I'll probably stop watching if they lose Craig".
