This Morning fans fume as Alice Beer shows off luxury kitchen in energy saving segment

This Morning fans were left frustrated by an energy saving segment - as Alice Beer led it from her expensive kitchen.

The This Morning expert fronted the special segment to help viewers save money on their energy bills amid a cost of living crisis, but those watching at home thought it was "out of touch".

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were tuning in from the studio as Alice filmed her segment from her Wiltshire home which boasted an Aga cooker - which retails from £10,000 onwards.

Alice shared there were three thermostatic controls in most people's houses which would help save money if they were controlled a bit differently.

However, frustrated fans took to Twitter to criticise the choice of location as they noticed the size of Alice's house.

Speaking in a live segment from her luxury Wiltshire house, Alice shared: "There are three thermostatic controls that you should have a look at. The first one you need to look at is the thermostat that's usually in your hall.

"One in five have got that set at 22 degrees - that's Lanzarote temperatures. What it should be set at is somewhere around 18 degrees. We know that if you turn it down, that will save you - with current figures - at least £80 a year."

She added: "So that is one vital thing that we should all be doing. Absolutely, definitely." Alice then went on to explain how viewers can make savings by individually turning off radiators in rooms not being used, such as guest bedrooms.

As she then went to discuss the third control people could use, which is usually found in a boiler cupboard. She said it could be used to turn the temperature of your water up and down and suggested that the water should be set at around 60 degrees and not any higher. "Try it at 55 and then if you can do it a little lower, you will notice the difference in your bills," she added.

Angry fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the segment's location.

"Seriously??? Alice Beer showing us her new house on how to control our energy. Seen the size of it? #ThisMorning," one wrote.

Another added: "Alice is lecturing us on saving energy.... has a f****** Aga! #thismorning," as a third shared: "That cupboard is as big as my house! No Alice don't tell me what MY heating SHOULD be set to. And nope the dial isn't in my hall #ThisMorning."

A fourth lamented over the current cost of living crisis, as they added in a post on social media: "It's a sad place where people need the government to tell them to turn things off to save electricity... #ThisMorning."
