This Morning fans cringe as Spin to Win 'goes wrong'

This Morning viewers were left cringing during an awkward segment of Spin to Win on Monday.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were once again at the helm of the popular daytime show, and were joined by a number of guests to discuss the topics of the day. There were conversations about the state of the NHS, Prince Harry's memoir Spare, and the latest fashion, among other things.

Later, Spin to Win returned to our screens. Viewers enter and then wait for a winning phone call live on air. To be in with a chance of winning, the person on the other end of the phone must give Holly and Phil the "phrase of the day".

And a cheery Holly told those watching at home that there'd be two chances for people to win during Monday's show. But when it came to the competition, things didn't go too well.

Firstly, one woman took what seemed like an age to pick up her phone. And instead of the all-important phrase, she simply said: "Hello", meaning she was out.

Phillip said: "We can't be doing with stuff like this, we want to give money away". The next call went to voicemail, before Phillip added: "What is the point of entering?"

Fans at home clearly spotted the problematic segment. Taking to Twitter, Sue said: "Here we go, is anyone going to answer?", and Tom said: "I enter all the time. Call me!!!" Liz said: "I love it when Spin to Win goes wrong".

This Morning airs weekdays 10am on ITV and ITVX
