The Speakman's made a return to This Morning on Wednesday's instalment of the show where they encouraged viewers to phone in with their phobia concerns.
Presenters Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes were joined by Nik and Eva Speakman who shared their top tips with This Morning viewers on how to get over their fears with practical action and thinking.
However, in a TV first, both Nik and Eva were left speechless and visibly bewildered when a caller named Colin shared his unusual phobia of ears.
Colin explained that he has been terrified of other people's ears, and even his own ears, since his childhood.
Explaining that his phobia stemmed from his mother's obsession with cleanliness, Colin admitted that he has been unable to get a haircut in over twenty years due to the fact he hates his ears so much and doesn't want them to be seen or touched by a hairdresser.
Colin's phobia is so bad, that he told host Phillip that even the look of the presenter's ears 'makes him sick to his stomach'.
He also admitted that he has to leave his mobile phone on speaker, because he simply can't fathom placing the phone to his ear.
After hearing more about his debilitating phobia, Nik and Eva encouraged Colin to break some boundaries and touch his own ears while they were still on the phone to him.
However, things took a serious turn for the worst when Colin began to choke up and gag down the phone as he attempted to dispel his phobia of his own ears - leaving Rochelle, Phillip, Nik, and Eva all visibly gobsmacked.
Taking to Twitter, This Morning viewers shared their reactions.
"Nooooooo omg not that ear phobia dude gagging on live TV because he's touching his ears," one viewer quipped.
"Just when I thought I'd seen it all on This Morning," another mocked.
"The Speakman's always seem to find the most strange beings on earth. Imagine being terrified of your own ears," another viewer tweeted.
While a fourth echoed: "Honestly This Morning is quality viewing and nobody can tell me otherwise. Colin getting sick on himself because Nik and Eva asked him to touch his own tears. Quality."
