Sweden's Jakob Söderqvist became his country's first ever under-23 men's time trial world champion on Monday after a commanding performance in Kigali at the UCI Road World Championships.

The 22-year-old crossed the finish line 1:04 faster than second-place Nate Pringle of New Zealand to take victory.
