It's almost time for yearly Christmas movie binge season, and that means timeless classics like Elf, A Christmas Story, and of course, the Home Alone movies.
I believe in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York supremacy, but I also think Home Alone 3 is underrated as heck (scalding hot take, I know). Anyway, this new game coming out in early 2026 is described as being "Home Alone-inspired" and has some beta tests coming up to celebrate it, and after a quick look at the gameplay, I'm very interested.

The game is called Bandit Trap, and it's a three-vs-one action title where three players play as bandits attempting to rob a house of its riches, while one robot defends the place with traps and mayhem. Hell yeah.
"Every match makes for an unpredictable and comedic competition: smash through walls, flood rooms, or even freeze entire house floors in the pursuit of victory," a new press release said. "Trappers can unleash creative contraptions to fling or flatten Bandits, whilst the Bandits bob and weave through the chaos to nab loot and escape in one piece. With destructible environments and dynamic gameplay, no two matches will ever be the same."
It's got a silly art style and fun character design, and I'm sure laying the traps will feel devious and challenging when going up against three others. But honestly? I don't know if I'm brave enough to test friendships in what will surely end up as a catastrophic shouting match with certain people I know.
Either way, the gameplay teaser below shows what Bandit Trap is all about and I think it's got some potential to be the next multiplayer-with-friends bonanza when it drops in a couple of months.
You can request access to be a part of the upcoming Bandit Trap tests on Steam, one from Nov. 27 to 30 and another from Dec. 5 to 7, ahead of its launch on PC and consoles on Feb. 6, 2026.
