NASA discovers extreme planet : A giant planet far beyond our solar system is giving scientists a rare chance to watch an alien world change almost in real time. Using NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, researchers observed HD 80606 b, a massive gas giant whose temperature rises by about 1,100°F as it races toward its Sun-like star, as per a report.
The planet is already one of the most extreme worlds scientists have studied. As it swings close to its star, its atmosphere heats up dramatically, allowing researchers to observe how temperatures and atmospheric conditions change over a very short period.
