This adorable video of a cat waiting for his favourite person is slowly melting hearts all over Instagram — and honestly, it’s hard not to fall in love. Loki, an orange tabby with a very serious attachment to his dad, has made “waiting at the door” his evening routine. Like clockwork, he settles down near the entrance, stares through the glass, and listens carefully for the sound he’s been waiting for all day: his human coming home.
The reel was shared by @loki.doestricks, also known as The Loki Show, and people can’t get enough of it. It’s already racked up over 2.8 lakh likes and thousands of comments. In the caption, Loki’s mum explains that this is a daily habit. From about 5 pm onwards, Loki parks himself by the door and simply waits - sometimes for over an hour, until dad finally walks in.
