The internet is full of images that make us laugh or wonder how they became popular in the first place. Artist Daniel Arthur takes some of these memes and internet moments and turns them into traditional paintings, giving fleeting online images a new life on canvas.
Daniel finds inspiration in meme groups, Reddit pages, Pinterest, and internet culture in general. When choosing an image to paint, he looks at everything from the lighting and colors to the storytelling and, most importantly, whether it makes him laugh or cringe.
His work is a fun mix of traditional art and modern internet culture, turning familiar digital moments into something you could actually hang on your wall. For Daniel, the best part is reaching people and making them feel something, whether that's laughter, amazement, or even a little cringe.
