A young man has died after a plane crashed near a North Yorkshire airfield last night. Emergency services rushed to a field near Bagby Airfield in Hambleton, North Yorkshire at 7.46pm yesterday.
A man in his 20s, believed to be the only person on board, died. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
The tragic smash has been confirmed as fatal by authorities. Residents have reported hearing a loud bang before the sky filled with a black plume of smoke. Pictures from the scene show extensive wreckage.
