Whether you're looking for late night antics, wholesome activities or something in between when searching for things to do in Dublin this weekend, there is a rake of events taking place to satisfy your desires.

From Oktoberfest events to family friendly cultural experiences, the range of things to do in Dublin this weekend includes something for everyone.

Oktoberfest parties

The beginning of October sees our favourite autumnal events returning such as Oktoberfest, which will be celebrated in Dublin at various bars in the city.

The Square Ball's Oktoberfest celebration kicks off this weekend and lasts until October 30, featuring German beers and wines, cheese and bratwurst. There will also be Oktoberfest quizzes, Bavarian bingo, blind beer tasting and wing challenges.

Meanwhile, there will also be Oktoberfest celebrations at Fired Up Pizza in Goatstown.

Circus Extreme

Circus Extreme takes place from Friday, September 30 until Sunday, October 16 at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

The epic show features the Extreme FMX team and the stunt riding team performing the Globe of Death. Meanwhile Henry the Prince of Clowns will keep the audience amused throughout.

There will also be Laura Miller showcasing her internationally-renowned aquatic aerial ring, high speed jugglers on a flaming car and a troop of dancers.

That 70s Club

If you're a fan of 70s bops and bangers, The Workman's Club is where you'll want to be this Saturday, October 1.

Expect to dance the night away to the likes of ABBA, Queen, Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Earth Wind & Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, David Bowie and more legends.

Comedians Without Borders

This Saturday, Comedians Without Borders returns to Sin E for a night full of laughs from a host of international comedians.

The line-up includes Jacob Perry, Nehal Singh, Shawn Uyosa, Shrini Kalwad and Nghia Mai, with the show kicking off at 8pm.

Samhain Rainbow Umbrella Market

One of the Dublin's most popular quirky bars, Street 66 on Parliament Street, will host a Samhain Rainbow Umbrella Market this Saturday, October 1 from 12pm until 5pm.

Expect a mix of art, crafts, apparel, accessories, homeware, decor and more, all with a Halloween theme.

GAZE International LGBTQ+ Film Festival

Gaze International LGBTQ+ Film Festival began this week and will run until Sunday, October 2.

The festival celebrates LGBTQ+ storytelling with screenings and events taking place at IFI in Temple Bar and Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield.

Dublin Festival of History

Another cultural festival comes into full swing this weekend with the Dublin Festival of History taking place until Sunday, October 16.

With over 100 in-person events taking place across the city, there will be a Dublin Festival of History 'Big Weekend' on October 1 and 2 at at the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute on Pearse Street.

Live music at Arthur's Blues and Jazz Club

Arthur's Blues and Jazz Club is the plays to be for any Dublin jazz fan.

Located in the heart of Dublin 8, The Lee Meehan Quintet will play at the venue on Friday night, Dermot Byrne and the Dirt Band play on Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon, the bar will welcome John Donegan Sextet.

Funk Upcycling Workshop

Do you have some furniture that needs a new life? There will be an upcycling workshop at Airfield Estate in Dundrum this Saturday, October 1.

Coffee, tea and lunch is included in your ticket. During the workshop, you will be shows how to bring new life to the small piece of furniture you've brought with you. At the end of the day, you'll bring it home to proudly display it in your home.
