Free music at Liberty Park
A number of free gigs are taking place this Saturday, October 22 in Liberty Park in Dublin's north inner city. Liberty Vibe will feature a diverse range of music from pop to R&B, funk, eletronica, hip hop and jazz with a line-up of Dublin’s most cutting edge musicians as well as some younger local legends.

Irish R&B sensation Cosha will headline the Liberty Park event. Raised between Dublin and Wicklow, Cosha made her Glastonbury Debut in 2017 and has collaborated with everyone from Charli XCX to Nile Rodgers.
Creatures of Samhain at Meeting House Square
The Samhain Family Festival returns to Dublin this Halloween to celebrate Ireland’s ancient Samhain roots. There will be a free family fun day at Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square on Sunday, October 23 featuring Samhain’s flagship event Creatures of Samhain, a retelling of Irish myths and legends for young ears.
The event will see seanchaí and colourful characters bringing spine-tingling tales of the Morrigan, Caorthannach (a monstrous dragon monster), The Fairy Queen and the cheeky Puca to the Ark outdoor stage.
Dandelion Market
Dandelion market returns to The Well with over 50 vendors this Sunday, October 23. The spooktacular flea market will feature vintage fashion, locally made crafts and a variety of trinkets.
Additionally, there will be spot prizes and spooky treats. The markets takes place from 12pm until 5pm.
Dublin Book Fair
The annual Dublin Book Fair returns to the Royal Marine Hotel this Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23. Sellers from all over Ireland, Scotland and England will be there to sell second hand books, rare items, prints, manuscripts and ephemera.
The fair has been taking place for 20 years now and has been opened by writers such as John Banville and Anne Enright. Admission costs just €2.
Tola Vintage Kilo Sale
Tola Vintage returns with one of its beloved kilo sales at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin 8. Taking place between 10am and 6pm this Sunday, October 23, expect items on the racks for as little as €4.
Each kilo of clothes will cost €30. To give you an idea of what that might get you, it could come in the form of six shirts or jeans with two jumpers. Tickets can be booked for €2 here.
Diwali at Doolally
One of Dublin's top India restaurants plans to celebrate Diwali, the festival of light this weekend with a special menu created by Executive Head Chef Shloke Chhabra. Diwali is one of the major religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism, symbolising new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
Doolally’s Diwali specials include Tandoori Pineapple Chaat, a smoked and spiced creation served with tamarind and mint chutney, Palak Chilgoz Ki Tikki, spinach and toasted pine nut cakes, and Gulab Jamun Sundae, a traditional Indian sweet served with ice-cream and berries. Bookings can be made at Doolally.ie.
Kids Cabaret at James Joyce Centre
As part of the Samhain Family Festival in Dublin, there will be a Kids Cabaret at the James Joyce Centre in the north inner city on Saturday, October 22. The event will include spooky tales, songs and a cabaret show for kids.
The event will also feature actor and writer Wren Dennehy, Singer Klara McDonnell and pianist Bryan Mullen. Tickets are €5 per child and include admission for one adult.
