Police are searching for two men who ransacked a house in Hamilton and made off with a pillowcase full of stolen items in the middle of the afternoon.
The thieves broke into the house on Strathaven Road around 12.15pm on Friday, January 20, and made off with jewellery, and pounds and euros in cash. Other items also stolen, amounting to approximately £5,000.
Officers are looking to trace two men who were last seen walking down Strathaven Road in the direction of Low Waters Road.

The first man is described as being around 5' 8" tall, of slim build, 20-40 years of age, wearing a black skip cap, a black body warmer, a long white sleeve jumper/t-shirt, blue denim jeans, and black shoes. He was carrying a grey pillowcase full of items.
The second man is described as being around 5'6" tall, of medium build, 35-45 years of age, wearing a black beanie hat, a black jacket and bottoms, and black shoes. He was carrying a Harrods bag.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2186 of Friday, 20 January, 2023.
