Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a burglary, during which a rare £30,000 gold watch was stolen. Officers are now appealing for information after a number of sentimental items and the Omega Constellation gold watch were stolen at around 5pm on Friday, December 9pm, from a property on University Boulevard, between Beeston and Dunkirk.
Gold cufflinks with engraved initials and athletics medals from 1958 and 1962 were also stolen, in addition to a gold gentlemen’s ring with a single diamond, worth around £1,000. Anyone who comes across the watch or any of the other stolen items should contact the police immediately.
PC Charlotte Webster, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim, an 83-year-old man, is very upset and would really like to get his watch back as it is the only piece of jewellery he has every bought for himself. It is a rare watch and is of high sentimental value to him.
