Thierry Henry mocks Jota for Celtic consolation goal celebration after Real Madrid thrashing as he asks 'really?!'

Celtic wing wizard Jota has been mocked by Thierry Henry and Micah Richards for celebrating his superb free-kick in the Hoops' 5-1 loss to Real Madrid on their final outing in the Champions League.

With Ange Postecoglou 's men already losing 2-0 at the break thanks to two Real Madrid penalties and a missed Josip Juranovic spot-kick, their final farewell to European competition this season took a turn for the worse when Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde made it 5-0 with over 15 minutes left.

Celtic were offered some form of reprieve when Jota curled a delightful free-kick into the top left-hand corner with five minutes to go, and typically celebrations at that stage in a match are noted as subdued. But the Portugal star caused quite a stir after celebrating his goal, citing it as 'the best moment' in his career so far. Fans up and down the country showed divided opinion over his antics, though Henry and Richards made their views clear on CBS Golazo - with the Frenchman not holding back in his criticism.

Richards said: “It was a magnificent free-kick from Jota. The way he takes it. Then he goes off and celebrates after, even though they are 5-0 down. But let’s have a look at the wall. It’s absolutely disastrous. What are they doing?”

Henry then added: “But Jota celebrated that goal. Really?! Oooh, I mean. That’s true, scoring at the Bernabeu. But it’s 5-0...”
