Here are your Liverpool evening headlines for Sunday, April 3.
Thiago threatening huge Champions League change as Liverpool difference emerges
This wasn't how Thiago Alcantara had envisaged his Liverpool career going. A Champions League quarter-final first leg at Real Madrid should have been the ideal stage for the Spaniard to strut his stuff in his native country against familiar opposition.
Instead, the midfielder found himself watching on from the bench, only introduced three minutes before half-time by which stage the Reds were 2-0 down, a deficit from which they were never able to recover.

HAVE YOUR SAY: Rate the Liverpool players after the 2-0 home win over Watford
It was an evening indicative of the travails of much of Thiago's early Anfield career since arriving from Bayern Munich in September 2020. Few would have seen it coming when he first signed for the club.
But as, 12 months on, Liverpool prepare once again for a last-eight tie in Europe's premier cup competition, it would be a major surprise if Thiago is not among the first names on Jurgen Klopp's teamsheet for Tuesday's first leg against Benfica in Portugal.

Alisson Becker fumes as James Milner left waiting by Liverpool decision
Liverpool kept up the pressure at the top of the Premier League table by returning to action with victory over Watford.
Diogo Jota and Fabinho were on the mark as the Reds earned a 2-0 win against the relegation strugglers in Saturday's early kick-off. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side remain a point behind leaders Manchester City ahead of the pair meeting at the Etihad next Sunday.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield...
Alisson angered
Liverpool were indebted to a fine save by Alisson Becker from Watford's Juraj Kucka less than 40 seconds before Jota headed them in front.
And while the Brazilian was confident with the ball both in his hands and at his feet, he almost paid the price for tempting the visiting team a little too much with his delayed distribution.
Having taken his time over one first-half pass, Alisson released the ball just before being absolutely clattered by Cucho Hernandez.
The goalkeeper eventually picked himself up before wildly gesticulating in the direction of just about everyone. Referee Stuart Attwell merely waved play on.

Jurgen Klopp makes Diogo Jota transfer admission after Liverpool role change
Jurgen Klopp admits Diogo Jota is surpassing even Liverpool's expectations as he outlined the difference the Portuguese forward is making for his team.
Jota moved on to 20 goals for the season for the first time in his career when heading in Joe Gomez's cross for the first goal in the 2-0 Premier League win over Watford at Anfield on Saturday.
His tally of 14 top-flight strikes is bettered only by team-mate Mohamed Salah with half of his overall total having been Liverpool's opening goal in a match.
And Klopp believes Jota - who started on the left flank at the weekend but regularly drifted into central positions - has more than proven his worth since his £45million transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020.
