Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has hinted at signing a contract extension with the club after Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as manager. The Brazilian signed a new deal earlier this year that will see him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2024.
"I am honestly so happy to continue my career with the Blues," Silva said after signing. "When I signed my first contract here, it was to just do one year.
"Now it is already the fourth! I could not have imagined that, but really it is a very special moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea."

Silva was named Chelsea's Player of the Season despite the club enduring their worst Premier League campaign in history. The 38-year-old has been hampered by injuries but remains a key member of the squad and has recently put transfer rumours to bed regarding a potential exit this summer.
In an interview with Chelsea's official website, Silva has discussed his love for Chelsea and has now hinted that he could extend his contract at Stamford Bridge when talking about his son, Isago, renewing his deal with the club. "The club is really important to all of us – it’s a mutual love," the veteran defender said.
"The whole family have fallen in love with Chelsea. My sons, Isago and Iago, both play for Chelsea.
"Isago has extended his contract here for the next two seasons, which means we are going to be here for two years. We just hope it’s more!"
Silva's comments suggest he could potentially extend his deal until 2025 to remain in London for the duration of his son's contract with the Blues. His wife and two boys are settled in England, and for different reasons have provided extra cause to stay at Chelsea.
