Everton have 'done brilliantly' to convince Tottenham Hotspur to pay £60m for Richarlison.
That's according to former Chelsea, Marseille and Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino after the Brazilian striker ended his four-season stint at Goodison Park on Friday. It is understood that Spurs have paid £50m up front for the 25-year-old, with a further potential £10m in add-ons.
And Cascarino is of the opinion that it was the best deal that the Blues could have hoped for. Speaking about the deal on the TalkSPORT Gameday Breakfast show, Cascarino said: “He got 10 Premier League goals and the team that came bottom their top scorer got 11, there were four penalties in there as well. Up until January (he) had three goals and then had a bit of a run towards the end of the season.

“I think it is a massive price and they’ve done brilliantly well to secure £60m and I don’t know if he’s a good fit for Tottenham. I don’t see it with Richarlison and I think that’s a huge fee.”
The Brazil international scored 53 goals for Everton over four seasons. His best return of 15 was delivered during the 2019/20 season, with 13 of them coming in the Premier League. The Blues signed Richarlison from Watford in the summer of 2018 for an initial fee of £35m.
His six goals in the final six weeks of the 2021/22 season helped the Blues to keep their Premier League status intact as relegation loomed.
