Fed-up locals in a Lanarkshire town have hit out at teenage yobs who are causing chaos in the area.
Residents at Gilbertfield Wynd in Cambuslang say they are continually being harrassed by the teenagers, who are starting fires, smashing windows and doors and trashing plants and trees.
One local told Lanarkshire Live it feels like the neighbourhood is being "terrorised" by the gang, and they fear it will escalate further as warmer weather comes in.
Police say they intend to increase the number of patrols and officers around Gilbertfield as a result.
A concerned home owner in the area told us: "It is constant harassment for everybody here and they are causing malicious damage. This gang are basically terrorising the whole neighbourhood.
"We’ve had instances of wilful fire raising in the new build housing that isn’t yet completed, newly planted trees and bushes being pulled out and destroyed, windows and doors hit with stones and eggs and continual doorbell ringing and chapping of windows which can be extremely frightening for older residents.
"They've been smashing windows and doors with rocks now as well. They're about 11, 12 and 13, and there's always several of them together.
"Some of them are on electric scooters with black scarves covering their faces and hoodies up, as they know there is CCTV here."
The local added that many of the group are known to live locally but that they appear to be "out of control".
They added: "These youths have no respect for people's property or for basic human decency and have no fear of retribution from the police.
"People should be able to relax in their homes without fear of being vandalised every night."
Inspector Kevin Miller of Rutherglen police stated: "I am aware of the issues up at Auld Kirk Road and in Gilbertfield which we have been discussing at the Hub meetings recently.
"I recently had a meeting with partners about it and hopefully will see a reduction with the increased foot patrols in the area."
