Newcastle defender Fabian Schar believes his side cannot afford to get caught up in the thought that Liverpool may tire as they battle in the Champions League.
The win over Everton on Monday night left Liverpool with an outside chance of finishing inside the top four in the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp knows his side must beat the Magpies on Saturday evening.
A win at St James' Park at the weekend will take the Reds six points behind Eddie Howe's side with plenty of the season still to come.

The Newcastle centre half refused to be drawn on Liverpool and fellow top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur being tired after their European exploits.
"I don't think so because they are used to it," Schar told the Chronicle. "They do it every year, they have big squads and know how to handle it. They have been doing for years so it won't make a massive difference. It's still Liverpool, still more or less the same team.
"You see the quality and you see the position they want to be in and where they want to be next season. Games against Liverpool and those types of teams are always tough. It'll be a very hard fight and we will need to be back to our best to get something out of this game."
Liverpool are the only side to have beaten Newcastle in the Premier League this season with Fabio Carvalho's 98th minute winner at Anfield back at the end of August.
