Ally McCoist believes Dele Alli would reignite his career at Rangers amid rumours of a potential transfer to Besiktas from Everton.
Alli joined the Blues at the end of the January transfer window. But, just over six months on, multiple outlets have claimed discussions are currently ongoing between the former Tottenham Hotspur star and the Turkish club, with both a loan and permanent deal said to being considered.
Such a move would mark another unexpected twist in the career of the 26-year-old, who is still aiming to rediscover the performance levels reached during his spell with Spurs.

A move abroad could now be on the agenda for the two-time PFA Young Player of the Year award winner, though McCoist is of the view Rangers would be a suitable destination for the Englishman.
“They’d love him. Correct [he’d find himself again]," said the Ibrox legend on talkSPORT. "Would I take him at Rangers? All day, man. All day. Yeah. I do, I really do [think he’d do a good job]. I’d take him all day, man.
“He’s completely and utterly lost his way. It’s not easy, don’t think for a minute it’s easy. You look at the players that have come to Rangers beforehand, I’m not saying they’ve struggled but they’ve not been as big a success as people would have thought. It’s a difficult place to play. But if you do play there, it’s a fantastic place to play.
"I'm really sad that Dele Alli is going to the Turkish league. He just looks lost. He needs to go and not so much feel loved, but feel comfortable and go and enjoy himself. It’s a sad story, it really is."
Echoing the views of McCoist, fellow talkSPORT contributor Gabriel Agbonlahor claimed: "He has lost the hunger for football, and it can happen. I don't see him as someone in Everton games, or later on in his career at Spurs, as someone who looks hungry. Should he be going to Besiktas a 26? I don't think so. If you're not going to succeed under Frank Lampard, who your game is probably based on, it's not a good sign is it?"
