London Fashion Week has a vibe all its own. From the looks coming down the runways to the street style, England's capital always puts its own spin on things. Naturally, the beauty is also pretty unique, which we are all for. Fortunately, the London Fashion Week Fall 2024 beauty looks are just as wonderfully weird as ever.
On the eye front, standard cat eyes and mascara just don't cut it. Erdem elevated the former by positioning the tails so they came off the eyelids, while over at Bora Aksu the tail was accented by parallel lines above the eyes. Emilia Wickstead's models hit the runway with only a select few eyelashes extended. Chet Lo gave us a twist on smoky eyes with streaming silver tears. Models at Mark Fast only received the partial smoky eye treatment. Labrum London went a different route using strategically-placed swatches of green and gold to highlight its models' eyes.
Hairdos also made a big statement. Take the curly silver gray wigs at JW Anderson. Or the golden parts (and foreheads) at Mithridate. Then there are the romantic updos at Simone Rocha where models' locks were rolled around their ears and secured with flashy barrettes or trails of black bows.
Pink lips definitely ruled and were mostly matte. A few makeup artists embraced red, though. They were used to balance out the aforementioned gray wigs at JW Anderson. Richard Quinn went with a classic matte version. But Roksanda had the most interesting take with a couple of models sporting glossy red lips with plum lipstick used as lip liner.
