Designers always go over the top for Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. They use the most luxurious fabrics and attempt to execute designs that challenge the very notion of physics. That innovation also applies to the beauty looks coming down the haute couture runways. Makeup artists and hairstylists face the very real challenge of doing something equally impressive while not distracting from the lead actor, aka the clothing. The Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2024 beauty looks achieved that delicate balance in stride.
Giambattista Valli went all in. Not only were models treated to flower petal accents, which fits right in line with the fashion house's designs, their ponytails included swirled strands. Over at Thom Browne, the hairstyles were just as sculpted only matte gray and cropped. Neither version is exactly real-world appropriate, but that's exactly why we love them. Still big on bows? Then go big with a black bow topping off your low ponytail a la Chanel.
If you're looking for something you can pull off IRL, this season offers several options. Armani Privé proves why mastering the art of subtle eyeliner flicks is the key to low-key beauty. As are pink lips. Alexis Mabille served up a far flashier alternative featuring glittery eyeshadow and noticeably rosy cheeks. Meanwhile, Elie Saab has your date night look sorted courtesy of a strong smoky eye and perfectly pink lips.
