Attention Macy’s shoppers: Your local store might be closing. As part of the department store’s Bold New Chapter strategy, it’s continuing to close “underproductive stores,” its CEO Tony Spring announced in a January memo to employees.
The latest round of closures affects stores across multiple U.S. states, following dozens of previously announced shutdowns, as Macy’s works to streamline operations and refocus on more profitable locations. While the company has not yet shared exact closure dates, these stores are confirmed to be permanently closing.
