Analysts have deemed TMO to be a stock to be skeptical of, instead of being quite profitable due to its mixed fundamentals. The stock has experienced an absence of organic revenue growth over the past two years. Additionally, its efficiency has decreased over the last five years, as showcased by its declining operating margin over the years. Moreover, TMO’s EPS fell by 1.4% annually over the last five years while its revenue saw growth, indicating less-than-profitable sales values.

For the current year, which ends in December, analysts expect TMO’s EPS to rise 9.8% to $25.12 on a diluted basis. The company surpassed the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 26 analysts covering TMO stock, the consensus is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 20 “Strong Buy” ratings, one “Moderate Buy,” and five “Holds.”
