In a game that was otherwise negative, a positive was found for the Jets regarding offensive lineman Xavier Newman.
A scary scene unfolded for Newman. He sustained a neck injury during his team’s 37-15 loss to the Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.”
As is always the case with a head or neck injury, concerns are high. Newman was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital in Pittsburgh but he is OK.
Following the contest, Jets head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that Newman was cleared and he will travel with the team back to New York.
Newman was put in the game following an injury to offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker.
