A few months back, Kawasaki issued a recall and Stop/Sale notice for its brand-new Teryx4 H2 and Teryx5 H2, the supercharged hellion based around the brand's Ninja H2. The notice, which still oddly hasn't hit the Consumer Product Safety Commission, nor Kawasaki's own recalls site, stated that all Teryx H2 side-by-sides need to be grounded until further notice, as the CVT had the potential to explode.
Obviously, that's not great for a brand-new machine, but things like that happen when you build a 250-horsepower maniac. Kawasaki told dealers they couldn't sell them, and told customers to take the keys and put them in the kitchen drawer until the company could come up with a remedy for the situation. That was in February of this year, and little to nothing has been heard about the situation since.
But our intrepid friends over at UTV Driver, which has a sidelined Teryx H2 themselves, however, have heard from a host of owners and forums that there's a fix incoming. And, according to the site's reporting, it's potentially coming this month.
