Stranger Things is ready to begin the show’s final season. But, some new reports accuse one of the franchise’s stars of bullying on-set.
That’s a pretty serious claim, and weird timing to come out so close to the massive Netflix season. But, a “news organization” says that they have the inside scoop. A source for The Daily Mail reported that Millie Bobby Brown filed “pages and pages” of a bullying claim against David Harbour. All of this dates back to last year, when Stranger Things 5 was filming. But, now these accusations are being discussed online and the fandom is trying to digest these developments.
Millie Bobby Brown plays Eleven in the Netflix mega-hit and Harbour serves as her father figure in-universe as Jim Hopper. One of the biggest cliffhangers hanging over this final season is a possible reunion between Eleven and Hopper. But, The Daily Mail’s reporting on the situation alludes to a much-more tense situation on-set than had been previously reported.
(We would be remiss not to mention that The Daily Mail is dubious as a source at best. So, let’s employ some healthy skepticism here. A grain of salt when dealing with that publication is not only healthy, but encouraged in this case.)
David Harbour Stranger Things bullying allegations explained

Harrassment and bullying are no small matters. Especially, when you take into account the size and breadth of a production like Stranger Things. Netflix reportedly conducted a thorough investigation. The Daily Mail’s account says that it’s unclear what the results of that investigation was.
In addition, both stars returned for the final season of Stranger Things. So, who even knows what’s going on. It’s important to clarify that Brown’s claim didn’t contain anything of a sexual nature. (Because you know the Internet is very involved in Harbour’s love life at the moment.)
The source explained, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
A couple of fans have gone back and found different examples of any seeming rift between the two actors. One clip from MTV’s Josh Horowitz drew a lot of attention. The host asked Millie Bobby Brown about Harbour officiating her wedding. (S/o to the adorable engagement era with Jake Bongiovi btw.) Her response drew some eyeballs this weekend. Brown told Horowitz that another Stranger Things star was more likely. “Yes…yes. I don’t know how I feel. Sure. Matthew Modine, I think,” she said.
Noah Schnapp controversy explained

The last year and change has seen the Internet at large debate Noah Schnapp’s social media posts. After Israel and Palestine became front-page news, the actor made a series of social media posts about how scared he was. Users then discovered some posts with him handing out stickers that said “Zionism is Sexy.”
Then, as Stranger Things began filming, Schnapp filmed an apology video that is still archived for posterity online. Social media users believed he wasn’t sympathetic enough to the people of Palestine. Read his comments down below:
“I feel like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued beyond anything even close to what I believe, and I wanted to just state from my heart how I feel,” Schnapp argued. “I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict.”
“One of the takeaways that I’ve had is that we all want the same things – for those innocent people still being held hostage in Gaza to be returned to their families, and equally hope to an end to the loss of innocent life in Palestine,” he said. “So many of those people [are] women and children, and it’s horrible to see.”
