Eddie Howe has made it clear Newcastle United's performance wasn't good enough against AFC Bournemouth - despite having 20 goal attempts.
The Magpies have no drawn five games and are picking up the tag of draw specialists in the top-flight. But regardless of the fact that United have won just once in seven matches, Howe wants much more from his players.
He said: "I don't think we played particularly well, we were off our best level. One for us to reflect on.
"I am desperate to win, it feels like a long time for us."We need to win and compete and be the best versions of us.
"It’s difficult to know why in this moment – they defended very deep and it was our responsibility to break through them and I just felt we were off a little bit in every aspect of our game."
Howe felt there was only one winner after Alexander Isak's equaliser from the spot. He reflected: "It was probably epitomised by the last 20 minutes where we score and it looked like we were set up to win, but our decision-making left us. It was a difficult watch – we could have won the game and it slipped away from us."
And he admitted that the international fortnight will start with a feeling of frustration. Howe said: "I think there is a sense of frustration in terms of the points, because the majority of our performances have been strong and we’ve deserved more, but the reality is we haven’t won those games."
