The worst plane seats that passengers should avoid on BA, easyJet and Ryanair

A plane seat can be a hit or a miss, depending on what airline you are flying with and whether you prefer more leg room or a window-seat view.

The seat you choose can have an impact on whether you have a good or bad experience travelling to your destination - and with summer on our doorstep, many people will be hitting the skies.

The Daily Star reports that many people cash in on getting a seat with extra leg room, or a view next to the window - but there are certain areas of the plane you should never choose.

One specific Ryanair seat that is well-known for being the worst on the flight is 11A - which is a seat with no window or a tiny one that you can barely look out of.

Some passengers who may have even forked out to sit next to the window may find themselves in 11A, which leads to complaints and a rating of one star out of five on Seatlink - a website that allows people to rate their seats on airplanes.

One reviewer stated: "There is no window if you need to see out to not feel sick stay away. I thought I was going to vomit for 90 per cent of the flight as I had no reference to the outside."

The only other area on the Ryanair Boeing 737-800 flight that received low scores were seats 33A to F. This is because they are right in front of the toilets, which can begin to smell during long-haul journeys.

However, Ryanair's seats aren't the only airline seats people try to avoid - as many other airlines have "bad" seats that are to be avoided.

The Telegraph said: "Norwegian’s 737s have the same issue (avoid seats 10A, 11A and 11F), as does American Airlines’ (steer clear of 11A and 11F).

"But if you fly with easyJet, the windowless perches are at the back, rather than in the middle. Seat 31A, to be precise, for those on its A320 aircraft, and seat 26A and 26F on its A319s."

As well as this, British Airways A380 flights reportedly have a number of seats with limited views from the windows - including 70A and 70K in the economy area.

In the Club World area, this issue also applies ot 12A, 12K, 50A and 50K. So before you fly, it is recommended that you check where your seat is before paying extra cash.

On popular social media forum Reddit, many frequent flyers have recommended using SeatGuru.

One person said: "Seatguru is a good source for scouting out a good seat."

The SeatGuru website allows people to look up the seating plan of their upcoming flight so they can spot the seats with the best leg room or with fewer seats in the row.
