Filming of The Winter King, an adaption from Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicle series, has been moved on from Blaise Castle to the Brabazon Hangars.
It was previously taking place on film sets erected in Patchway and at Blaise Castle Estate, containing mocked-up medieval villages and forts.
The Brabazon Hangars, formally known as Filton Airfield, are being transformed into the YTL Arena, a 17,000 capacity arena, festival hall and 'hub' for eating, drinking and leisure which will celebrate all Bristol has to offer - due to be open by 2024.

The Hangars are currently empty after being used to store aircraft and as a set for TV shows like Sanditon and Alex Rider. Now The Winter King will be added into its ranks.
The changing of locations was confirmed in a tweet posted earlier this afternoon by the account 'What's Filming In Bristol?':
What is The Winter King?
The Winter King is the first in a series of three novels by historical novelist Bernard Cornwell called The Warlord Chronicles. Cornwell is better known for his creation of the no nonsense, Francophobic, Napoleonic rifleman Richard Sharpe. The Sharpe stories were Cornwell’s first books and were famously made into a long running TV series starring Sean Bean, filmed from 1993 to 2008.
Cornwell followed up this literary success with the Warlord Chronicles, a series of five novels which are the author’s recreation of Arthurian Britain. They follow the legendary king and his retinue of knights and druids as they defend post-Roman Britain from the Anglo-Saxons, Irish raiders and the newly arrived religion of Christianity.
