Meanwhile, summer signing Nayef Aguerd was spotted continuing his recovery from ankle surgery after picking up the injury in pre-season. The centre-back has yet to be make his debut for the club, with Moyes confirming prior to the Wolves clash that Aguerd is 'nowhere near the level of training' needed to feature for the first-team.

“We’ve got Aguerd doing a little bit on the grass but nowhere near the level of training, but at least he’s sort of getting back outside a little bit more," said Moyes.

Ben Johnson was also spotted taking part in training, as he looks likely to return to the first-team set up after picking up an injury against Aston Villa in the Premier League last month and missing the last five fixtures in all competitions.
