One of Wales' most popular food and drink festivals is returning to Cardiff this summer. The Welsh Vegan Festival is back after a two-year absence after it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first festival took place in 2016, with thousands of people from across Europe attending to sample some delicious Welsh food and drink, all free of animal products. However, after the outbreak of Covid, organisers were forced to put the popular event on ice.
The event features scores of stalls serving hot and cold food and drink as well as vegan-friendly cosmetics, clothing, and accessories. It is being organised by Farplace Animal Rescue and will raise funds for the charity’s shelter as well as showcasing a lifestyle free from animal products.
