A new study claims a Welsh postcode had the fastest-selling properties of 2022. The HR3 postcode, in Hay-on-Wye, had the quickest selling properties last year, according to estate agent comparison site, GetAgent.
Properties in the area took an average of just 32 days to sell, according to the study - a third of the time it takes the average UK property to sell. The town, best known for its plethora of bookshops, was joined on the list by several other Welsh regions, with Anglesey ranking in second place with 34 days.
Three postcodes in Ceredigion also made the list, with Cardigan (45 days), Llanarth (57 days), Lampeter (60 days) and Aberaeron (67 days), ranking in fifth, eighth, joint ninth, and seventeenth place respectively. Lampeter shared its ninth spot on the list with Gleadless Valley in Sheffield.
