An independent Welsh jeweller is "over the moon" to see the Duchess of Cambridge wear a pair of her earrings for the fourth time on a visit to Wales. Kate wore a pair of Hayley Jones' £62 hooped earrings during a visit to Barry Island in August 2020, and she had them on again for a festive visit to Cardiff later that year.
She wore them again during her St David's Day visit to Abergavenny in March this year and had them on again when she brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte for their first official visit to Wales on Saturday (June 4). You can read Hayley's story here.
The family went to Cardiff Castle to meet performers and crew involved in the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert taking place in the grounds. Follow our latest Platinum Jubilee live blog here to see more of the royal's visit to the capital here.

The family watched rehearsals and met people involved in the concert including Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler who was made an MBE last week in the Queen's Birthday Honours. They also met BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans, known for his appearances on The One Show and North West Tonight, as well as West End performers, members of the Rubicon Dance Company and the Wales Youth Choir for Good.
It all comes only four years after Hayley started her jewellery business from the kitchen table of her home in Caerphilly, when she started selling her jewellery on Etsy.
Since the first outing, interest in Hayley's designs has gone through the roof and she has had to draft her mum, Dawn, and sister, Kelly, in to help keep up with all the orders. Supermodel Kendall Jenner was spotted wearing the hooped earrings when she watched a basketball game between the New York Knicks and the Phoenix Suns at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Hayley, a fashion and marketing graduate who now works from a small studio, said: "It has been so amazing seeing the Duchess Of Cambridge wearing my earrings, I still have to pinch myself as I still cannot quite believe it! It has helped my small business so much, and I am so thankful.
"It has been amazing seeing the Duchess of Cambridge wearing my earrings here in Wales. I am so grateful and honoured. The earrings were inspired by Welsh Celtic twists, as I wanted to tie in Welsh Heritage into the collection."
British reality stars and models including Emma Louise Connolly, Made In Chelsea's Sophie Habboo and TOWIE's Chloe Lewis have also worn jewellery from the collection.
Meghan Markle sparked a surge in sales for Welsh denim firm Hiut after she wore a pair of their jeans on her first official visit to Wales in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex also wore a pair of the £230 black Hiut jeans on a previous visit to Cardiff.
